Bahara Naimzadeh, a dental student at University of Washington School of Dentistry was one of those 10 very deserving scholarship recipients. Bahara Naimzadeh’s interest in dentistry started, “After shadowing various dentists, I realized that dentistry was everything that I was looking for and more. It was an art, blending my love of working with my hands with my desire to serve and make a difference in the world.”
She mentnioned in her application, “The impact that we have on patients is palpable and something that is unique to our profession. We are able to diagnose a problem, treat the immediate issue and work on a long-term preventative plan, all in one day. I know that this type of work is not something that I will ever let go.” Read below her thanks to NSK Dental for the scholarship.
Growing up as a child of immigrants, my path to success has been challenging. I often wondered if a career in dentistry would be possible for someone like me, but I knew that the struggle would be worth it given the need for dental care world wide.
I deeply value the support from donors such as yourself who believe in my potential and my commitment to community service. Given the tremendous cost associated with dental school, your contributions mean more to me than I can express. From the depths of my heart, thank you.
