The DTA Foundation is thrilled to launch the 2024 National Brush Day campaign! This year, we are asking families and dental professionals to join the #NBDDentsquad! Our DentSquad heroes are rallying dental patients, families and professionals all across the country to join the fight against tooth decay and plaque and spread the word about the importance of good oral health.
Being a DentSquad hero is super easy, all you have to do is take care of those teeth on November 1st by brushing away all of that Halloween candy.

Help promote National Brush Day by encouraging your community and patients to join the #NBDDentSquad! The DTA Foundation has created a variety of downloadable campaign materials, including activity sheets, social media graphics, and posters to help raise awareness.
Participants who share photos of completed DentSquad activity sheets on social media with the hashtag #NationalBrushDay—or upload them directly at nationalbrushday.com—will be entered to win one of five $100 Amazon gift cards. Whether it’s through emails to your patients, social media posts, or by promoting the DentSquad in your office, you can play a vital role in spreading the word.

Our Dentsquad heroes take oral health care very seriously, and so should you!
Captain Paste is packed with minty freshness and fluoride, using his powers to strengthen enamel and defeat plaque monsters. Leading the DentSquad, he squeezes into action to keep teeth bright and smiles sparkling across the land!
Doctor Brush wields maximum cleaning power and super intelligence. Known for his quick wit and even quicker strokes, Doctor Brush joins Captain Paste and the DentSquad to make sure every tooth is polished and protected from the forces of decay!
Agile and fearless, Floss Fury uses her silky, floss lasso to slip into tight spaces, clearing out plaque villains that others can’t reach. With her swift moves and fierce determination, Floss Fury ensures no tooth is left behind as she fights alongside the DentSquad.
Smooth and unshakably calm, The Cool Rinse swirls into action to wash away bacteria and neutralize bad breath with a refreshing blast. As the final line of defense in the DentSquad, The Cool Rinse ensures every battle ends with a clean sweep!
2023 National Brush Day Results
In 2023, the DTA Foundation promoted National Brush Day by encouraging families to “Share Your Favorite Toothbrushing Song” and tagging #NBDToothTunes. Our goal was to raise engagement and spread awareness of the importance of good oral health. Click here to listen to the NBD Tooth Tunes Playlist on Spotify.
Our complimentary package of digital marketing materials included printable posters, social media graphics and captions, email templates, the 2023 National Brush Day logo, and a Spotify playlist, which resulted in over 1,200+ downloads. In total, our 2023 campaign had a potential reach of over 431 million people worldwide with over 8,000 mentions on social media channels.
